Design principles
Please READ ALL general design priciples before start using Talentech design elements.
Brand recognition
We want our consumers to identify our brand based on visual indicators such as logo and colors.
T Purple leads the way as a companion to T Pink which in turn lifts smaller visual atoms and takes the brand to another level. This results in a common thread running through all platforms or forums e.g. Talentech website, Talentech blog etc. etc.
DESIGN PRINCIPLE 1
60/30/10
Color rule
When using the color swatches, be careful and don't use too many colors.
T Purple and T Pink, they are now your best friends!
This is a classic rule which states that 60% of your design canvas should be the dominant color, in most cases that would be Purple-900 aka T Purple.
30% should be the secondary color or texture and the last 10% should be an accent.
Use T Purple or T Pink as your dominant colors and then use the other one as secondary color. If you want to use other tints and tones, keep in mind NOT to use these more than 10%.
DESIGN PRINCIPLE 2
Background Pattern color
If you are adding patterns to the background, use the following color combination:
Background-color: T Purple
Pattern-color: Purple-800
Background-color: T Pink
Pattern-color: Pink-500 or Pink-600
DESIGN PRINCIPLE 3
Text color readability
Never use T Pink as text color on a white background, only when T Purple is in the background.
Use text colors in the right context so that we can be WCAG compliant and make sure our content is available for everyone.

Don'ts
Color contrast is a good way to increase the readability.
So don't use any tints, tones, and shades from the pink color swatch on a white background.
Logotype
Our logo consists of two parts,: A wordmark and a symbol wich represents a simplified process from A to Z, while also forming the letter T. It is flexible and can be used in several ways to convey and clarify processes. There will be examples of this later in the manual.
Text logos
The logo is the foundation of our brand and our signature, and needs to be used in a consistent way.
It is important to use the logo in the correct way to ensure good brand recognition. Never change or experiment with the logo.
Symbols
Our symbol is used to
aid and promote public identification and recognition.
For all usage on social media, only the logo symbol should be displayed as the profile picture. Please use one of the variations in this folder to make sure our image stays consistent across the internet.
Clear space
We should always aim to keep the logo a minimum distance from other elements.
As a general guideline, the clear space around the logo should be based on the logo symbol.
Don'ts
It is important to never strech, manipulate or change the logo in any way.
Logo animation
Logo animation is to be used on start/end of video material from Talentech.
Product logotypes
Logos
Logos for products with existing
symbols. For other products, use Talentech symbol and logo.
Telegraf
We use Telegraf by Pangram Pangram Foundry as our main font. Use Telegraf in headings or bigger text.

Helvetica Neue
Helvetica Neue serves as fallback.
When good readability in longer and smaller paragraphs is more important than keeping the brand recognition or as alternative for systems that do not support custom fonts.

Colors
The color palette mainly reflects on the courageous value from the brand platform.
Primary
T Purple and T Pink are central in communication and give Talentech the extra identity.
T Pink creates a sense of humanity and warmth, which is linked to our carring value. But together with T Purple they feel young and fearless.

Repetition is the key to success with many elements of an effective brand.
Use your color scheme wherever you can in your marketing, from your sales collateral to your social media sites.

Icons are the top visual communicators.
That’s why we want to meet our audience at a visual level and ensure they reads and engages with our content.
Illustrations
A picture is worth a thousand words.
We want a growing brand awareness and recognizability. In general we perceive the information much better if it’s accompanied by some pictures or illustrations. This also gives us artistic harmony.
NB! The illustrations are in the drawing studio and will be available in the near future.
Skyline
We have offices all over Europe with central hubs in Oslo, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Helsinki, and Copenhagen. This illustrate some important landmarks from our cities.
Tone of voice

Additional elements have been developed to add more width.
Timeline
The logo symbol can be transformed into a timeline. The timeline should be used in digital communication, such as ads, newsletters and film.
By using the timeline, we clearly shows the audience where in the process they are of watching that video.
In the folder below you will find the timeline customized for different formats and lengths. You will also find a project file where you can make your own length.
Pattern
The symbol can be used as a background pattern. Adjust the size as desired. But always rotate 20 degree at a time and it can be cropped to a certain extent when it is used as a pattern, but can also be displayed completely.
Social media
Covers for your profile page.
This gives us a common and consistent design for all our employees.
Don'ts
It is important to never manipulate or change the covers in any way.
